Outstanding Features of the 2023 Kia EV6

Tons of Horsepower2023 Kia EV6 | Frederick, MD

The EV6 has an incredibly powerful engine, starting at 225 horsepower for the Wind trim, with optional upgrades up to 320 and 576 horsepower for the GT-Line and GT trims, respectively. While the Wind level is more than enough for commuting, the GT and GT-Line trims offer extra performance and acceleration if you want it.

Long Range Battery

The EV6 comes with a standard 58-kWh battery that can be upgraded to a battery with a 77.4-kWh capacity to boost the range. Both batteries offer a great maximum range, though the total amount will vary depending on the engine of your specific model.

With the 77.4-kWh battery, the Wind trim offers a maximum range of 310 miles on RWD models, while the AWD has a slightly smaller range of 282 miles. The GT-Line also offers a range of 310 miles in its RWD configuration, though the AWD has a range of 252 miles. Because of the sheer amount of power in its engine, the GT model offers a very respectable range of 202 miles before needing a charge.

Fast Charging Capabilities

In conjunction with the large total capacity of the battery, a key convenience feature of the EV6 is its ability to charge quickly. With the Level 3 EV charger at 350 kW, the EV6 can go from a 10% battery to 80% in just 18 minutes. Even using a Level 3 charger at 50 kW can see the battery charge the same amount in roughly an hour and 13 minutes.

This can help get you back on the road quickly and ensures that you can take advantage of the already long range of the EV6 for road trips and vacations.

Talk to Your Kia Dealer About the Warranty

An important thing to keep in mind when purchasing any new vehicle is the standard warranty that covers both the vehicle itself and the engine. Fortunately, Kia has one of the best standard warranties on the market, offering a limited warranty on the vehicle for five years or 60,000 miles, whichever comes first. The engine and powertrain are similarly covered for 10 years or 100,000 miles.
